Envercreek L is for Labrador Can CD WC JH AgNS AgNJS CGN Am RE “Kinsey” When Kinsey was a puppy, she was almost passed over as being too dull. At week 6, she started to “sparkle” and has been a shining star even since. At the tender age of 1 year, it appeared that her performance career was over before it began because of ACL ruptures. She underwent the miraculous TPLO surgery, and emerged from the other side better than before. Kinsey is a very special partner. She has achieved titles and legs in hunt, agility, traditional and rally obedience. She also participates and trains for canine dressage, draft, and therapy work. Kinsey is also a sweet and entertaining house and travel companion to my border terrier, husband and me. Kinsey always approaches training, work and life in general with a surplus of enthusiasm and a desire to please. Thank you, Nancy Ingham for producing this outstanding dog.

September 2007 Twenty-eight titles for one great little dog! The Border Terrier National Specialty was held in Albany, OR the week of September 16 - 22. I was extremely proud of Piper at the Nationals - the most successful we have ever attended. He was entered in 6 official classes in 4 venues and passed all 6! He had been retired from 2 of them and made a come-back at the Nationals - how special. :-)

September 2007 Seven Months from Beginning to TD! This Star shines again. After starting lessons on tracking in February of 2007, Star passed her Tracking Dog Test at the National Golden Retriever Specialty on September 15th under judges Sil Sanders and Jean Dieden. Jean described her track as "pretty textbook" once she decided she was supposed to go to work! Thanks to Pattie Moon for all her encouragement and instruction. Now we are on to the needed work for the TDX! Star also received her Novice F.A.S.T. title at the National Specialty Agility trial and got her first qualifying run in Open Standard, despite her 12 second teeter (groan). I think we'll focus on tracking and obedience for awhile. Marian Snapp, Bellingham, WA
